Super Pacer Talent hunt - Search of India’s fastest bowler

Medallin Sports and Times Group collaborated together to organise “Super Pacers” a talent Hunt, has given a chance to young boys to showcase their talent and give India a bunch of good bowlers. Auditions was conducted in in 12 cities in India over a period of 15days divided into north, south, east and west zones. The chief selector was legendary pace bowler Courtney Walsh and had four Zonal mentors Chetan Sharma(N), David Johnson(S), Deep Dasgupta(E) and Saurabh Walkar(W)

The event was concluded into three stages :
Stage 1 –City Level Round – Open forall(U-22)
Stage 2 – Zonal Level – Fastest 50 from City levelround
Stage 3 – National Finale –Fastest 5 from eachzone.

Delhi’s 20 year old Aviral Rawat quickest delivery measured 139 kmph proved to be India’s fastest by winning the national final of Maharashtra Times Superpacers at Deccan Gymkhana, Second fast bowler was Mumbai’s Ronit Singh who touched 136 kmph. Third was Rajasthan’s Mohammad Ajruddin speed gun recorded delivery was 135 kmph. Fourth and fifth places went to Aman Prasad of Kolkata(133 kmph) and Gaurav Bengre of Mumbai (132 kmph), respectively.
