Another cricketer from Maharashtra, Devika Vaidya is part of the Women’s cricketing circuit. Devika’s performances with the bat and ball earned the M.A. Chidambaram award for Best Junior Women Cricketer of the year 2014-15.
At just 19 years, Devika made her debut against West Indies and impressed many by scoring 32 runs and claiming 2 wickets. She leaped praises from India stalwarts Mithali Raj and Veda Krishnamurthy as well as the India Women’s Team coach for her cool attitude.
