Not many would forget the sight of Dinesh Karthik in India colours, horizontal on the ground, as he stumped Michael Vaughan in 2004. It was his first scalp of many as a wickek-keeper.
Dinesh was an integral member of the 2007 T20 World Cup winning squad with his versitality as a batsmen and fielder proving resourceful.
Dinesh was also an integral part of the Test team which famously registered a series win in England. He opened the batting and made key contributions throughout the series.
A giant in domestic cricket and IPL, Dinesh was bought by Delhi Daredevils by 12.5 crores in 2014 and next year netted 10.5 courtesy of RCB. In 2016, he was again bought by Gujarat Lions for INR 2.3 Crores. Dinesh has now started the domestic season well with Tamil Nadu almost on the verge of reaching the quarters.
